Travel

Oxford can be reached by road and rail connections. It is close to the international airports of London Heathrow and Birmingham international, and also has bus connections to Gatwick Airport.

For international travelers, the most convenient connection is to fly to London Heathrow and take the airline bus https://www.theairlineoxford.co.uk/oxford-to-heathrow-bus/. The coach runs approximately every 20 minutes and leaves from Stand 10 outside Terminal 5, or from the Heathrow Bus Station between Terminals 2 and 3. The bus stops at St Clements Street, Oxford, which is 2 minute’s walk from the College. The journey takes approximately 90 mins. It is advisable to book tickets in advance.

Oxford can also be reached by rail, with direct trains to London stations and to the north. The central train station is about 30 mins walk from the college. The college can be reached by taking the city5 bus from the station, alighting at The Plain, or by Taxi (ask for St Hilda’s College, Cowley Place OX4 1DY).

By car: there is no parking available on site due to limited space, so it is advised to use the Thornhill or Seacourt Park and Ride facilities, alighting at St Clements.
